I am Refill'ble

They held me together, till my molten self, hugged and solidified around their curves. They felt me when I was all heated up, stroked me warm and slowly chiselled me cool. Sooner than later, they named me, ‘Lowball’.

From the day I was carved, I have been told stories, how my predecessors have not only been there to make drinking pleasurable, but also presentable. Now it was my duty to carry on the legacy my greatest, have left behind. It was my first week at the Hub. My kin and I were preparing to sleep as we always had at our alma mater. But as soon as the clock hit 10:00, an enormous crowd, fleeted into our bar.

A Friday night party was yet to begin!

Mr Prem and his crew members invaded our cabin and rushed outside.

We were cleaned and placed in clusters at the deck. Away from the party, Claire occupied one of the corner seats at the deck as she ordered the Belvedere Silver. While they were getting the liquor ready, I noticed some bland sadness shadowing Claire’s pretty face. I think she was ready to get drunk rather than getting drunk in love. It felt risible when I was presented with an orange slice tucked over my edge. She took me into her hands and shook me a little smelling my within and finally taking a sip. However with every sip, she started losing herself in me. She reflected her emptiness onto what I contained inside of me. It was bewildering, how easily she could give in to the emptiness with every volume I lost. She held me close to her face and blurted;

“Now you’re empty too!” But didn’t she get the point?
