Patent acquisition initiative by Google

Google has announced a “Patent purchase promotion” initiative that is an experimental marketplace for patents. Google would open a streamlined portal from May 8, 2015 to May 22, 2015 through which patent holders can submit offers for selling their patents to google. The patent holders can set the price and by June 26, 2015, google would review the patents and let the patent holders know whether it is interested in acquiring the patents.
