Apple acquires 11th place in terms of US patents awarded in 2015

According to the latest intellectual property rankings, Apple has been awarded 1,938 U.S. patents in 2015 thus placing it at No. 11 with respect to newly earned inventions. In the top was perennial intellectual property leader IBM, which was awarded 7,355 patents in 2015 and the second place holder was Samsung, with 5,072 U.S. patents [more].
