राज दीदी ने सत्र की शुरुआत नारायण प्रार्थना से की।

Infosys के श्री नारायण मूर्ति की पत्नी, श्रीमती सुधा मूर्ति के लिखे हुए एक प्रसंग के बारे में राज दीदी ने बताया।

श्रीमति मूर्ति जी लिखती हैं कि एक दिन की बात है, मैं अपने परिवार के साथ एक पारिवारिक शादी में गयी थी। वहाँ पर मैं एक लंबे अरसे के बाद अपने परिवार के सदस्यों से, दोस्तों से, परिचितों से मिली। हम सब ग्रुप बनाकर बैठ गए। हम सभी समाज सेवा, परोपकार और हमारे देश के लिए कुछ करना है, इस topic पर बात करने लगे। किसी ने कहा समाजसेवा वही व्यक्ति कर सकता है जिसके पास ढेर सारा समय हो और बहुत सारा धन हो और उसपर घर की विशेष जिम्मेदारी न हो और उसका कोई शौक ही न हो, वही व्यक्ति समाज सेवा कर सकता हैं। किसी ने कहा कि समाज सेवा करना यानी कि पिछले जन्म का कर्ज उतारना।

आगे श्रीमती मूर्ति जी ने बहुत सुन्दर बात लिखी कि मेरे भीतर ये प्रबल भाव है कि जो

मेरे परिवार के सदस्य हैं, दोस्त है, उनका इंटेंशन कभी भी गलत नहीं होता है। इसलिए मैं कभी भी उनकी बातों से न तो हर्ट होती हूँ न ही अपसेट।

श्रीमती मूर्ति जी ने आगे कहा कि समाज सेवा की मेरी लंबी यात्रा में मैंने कई एलबम फुटेज देखे है कि उनकी खुद की परिस्थितियां चाहे कैसी भी क्यों न हो, लेकिन समाजसेवी हमेशा दूसरों की मदद करने के लिए तैयार रहते हैं।

“चेन्नई समाज सेवा संस्था” में कई लोग ऐसे थे जो बेहद गरीब थे, कई मध्यमवर्गीय थे और हां कई अमीर लोग भी थे जो समाज सेवा में लगे हुए थे।श्रीमति मूर्ति जी ने आगे लिखा कि समाज सेवा करने के लिए समय और धन तो चाहिए ही पर सबसे अति आवश्यक चीज जो है वह है समाज सेवा करने का भाव और इच्छा। लोगों के कहने पर श्रीमती मूर्ति ने कुछ उदाहरण दिए –

Example 1: आप सभी “बदामी रेलवे स्टेशन तो गये ही होंगे, जो कि टाउन में है।“ रास्ते के दोनों ओर बड़े – बड़े नीम के घने वृक्ष है। बरसों पहले की बात है, एक साधारण व्यक्ति को अपने देश के लिए, समाज के लिए कुछ करना था। चूँकि उनमें सामर्थ्य नहीं था, वे छोटे – छोटे नीम के पौधे लेकर आए और स्टेशन के नजदीक, रास्ते के दोनों ओर रोप दिए। उन दिनों ग्लोबल वॉर्मिंग की समस्या थी, बरसात जमकर बरसती थी। उन नीम के छोटे – छोटे पौधों ने घने वृक्ष का रूप ले लिया और आज आते – जाते लोगों को ठंडी छांव दे रहा है और किसी को भी उस व्यक्ति का नाम तक नहीं पता। आगे लिखती हैं श्रीमती मूर्ति जी, मैंने अपने ग्रुप से पूछा, क्या ये चैरिटी नहीं है क्या.. क्या ये समाज सेवा नहीं है..? मेरे पूछने पर कुछ लोगों ने हां में गर्दन हिलाई।

Example 2: 31 साल पहले विदेश में सेटल्ड डॉ श्रीधर अपना बसा बसाया काम छोड़कर अपने शहर बैंगलोर में वापस आ गए और दो कमरों के भाड़े के मकान में अपने परिवार के साथ रहने लगे। उनकी दिनचर्या यह थी कि वे शाम को ४ से ६ अपनी डिस्पेंसरी खोलते थे और किसी भी मरीज से इलाज के पैसे नहीं लेते थे। श्रीमती मूर्ति जी आगे लिखती हैं, एक दिन मैंने उनसे पूछा कि आप यह सब मैनेज कैसे कर लेते हैं और आप विदेश में ही क्यों नहीं रुक गए। इस पर डॉक्टर श्रीधर ने कहा कि उनका बहुत पहले से ही यह सपना था कि समाज को कुछ लौटाऊं। मेरे बच्चों ने मुझे encourage किया इसलिए मैं अपना सपना पूरा कर पाया। श्रीमती मूर्ति जी ने कहा कि समाज सेवा करने के लिए परिवार का सहयोग बहुत जरूरी है।

The Summary of Divine Wednesday Satsang of 29th November 2023.

The Satsang has been brought to you from The Treasure box of Raj Didi’s Divine Satsangs.

Raj Didi started the session with the Narayan Dhanyawaad prayer.

Raj Didi shared an incident written by Narayan Murthy’s wife Smt. Sudha Murthy.

Mrs. Murthy writes that once, she had gone to a family wedding with her family. There, she met her all the family members, friends and acquaintances. They all sat down in a group to talk. They all started discussing about social service, philanthropy and doing something for our country. Someone said that those who have lot of time can do social service. Someone said those who have lot of money and does not have any special responsibilities at home and has no hobbies involve themselves in social service. Someone said that doing social service means paying off the debt of the previous life.

Mrs. Murthy wrote very beautifully that she has a strong feeling that those who are her family members and friends, their intentions are never wrong.

That is why she never gets hurt or upset by their words.

Mrs. Murthy further said that in her long journey of social service, she has seen many people, that no matter what their own circumstances were, they are always ready to help others. In “Chennai Social Service Society” there were many who were very poor, many were middle class and yes there were many rich people also who were engaged in social service. Mrs. Murthy further wrote that to do social service, time and money are needed but the most important thing is the feeling and desire to serve the society.

On people’s request, Mrs. Murthy gave some examples –

Example 1:

Mrs Sudha Murthy writes…. “You must have gone to Badami Railway Station, which is in the town.” There are huge dense Neem trees on both sides of the road. It was years ago that an ordinary person had a desire to do something for his country and society. Since he did not have much money or energy, he brought small neem saplings and planted them on both sides of the road near the station. In those days, there was so much problem of global warming, it rained heavily.

Those small Neem plants took the form of dense trees and today they are providing cool shade to the people passing by and no one even knows the name of that person. Mrs. Murthy writes further, she asked her group, isn’t this charity.? Isn’t this social service? When Sudha ji asked, some people nodded in “yes.”

Example 2:

Dr. Sridhar, who was settled abroad 31 years ago, left his settled job and returned to his hometown Bangalore and started living with his family in a two-room rented house. His routine was that he used to open dispensary from 4pm to 6 pm. Every day and serve people, he did not take money for treatment from any patient.

Mrs. Murthy further writes, one day she asked him why he did not stay abroad. On this, Dr.Sridhar said that he had a dream to give back something to the society to his own country. His children encouraged him, his wife motivated him so he was able to fulfill his dream. Sudhaji said Family support is very important to do social work.
